One of my favorites in the Annual catalog is the Playful Pets Suite featuring the Pampered Pets Bundle. There are so many things to like about this Suite. First is the Designer Series Paper featuring adorable cats and dogs. Then there are whimsical charms, ribbon combo pack, and every occasion sentiments from happy to sympathy. Add in a stamp set with coordinating dies and this is a must-have if you’re a pet person.
Not Just a Catalog …
Did you know our catalog is also an Idea Book? For these cards I chose to CASE (Copy and Share Everything) the cards on Page 40 of the catalog. If your mojo takes a vacation or you’re having trouble coming up with a design, just flip through the catalog and you’ll find plenty of inspiration. You can either make a project just as it is in the catalog or use a layout to inspire a card with another stamp set or color scheme.
One Layout, Two Cards
Card #1 is a #simplestamping card and uses stamps, ink and paper and a little twine. A technique called masking is shown, and I think you’ll love the possibilities this technique brings to your stamping. Card #2 steps up the same basic card adding dies and a Cutting and Embossing Machine. Breaking news – the new Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (page 170 of the Annual Catalog) will be available to customers beginning in September!! The platform folds for space-saving storage and makes it much easier to take it “on the road”!
Video
I’ve heard that a messy desk is a sign of a creative mind. Watch this video and you’ll come to the assumption that I must be very creative – LOL! For me, though, this is real crafting. I misplace things (usually my scissors), get ink on my fingers, spill embossing powder and assemble cards incorrectly. Frustrating? Yes. But it is part of the experience and I love it all! Please never let fear of messing up keep you from creating! Mistakes are just opportunities for embellishment, and it is rare to have a card that can’t be salvaged. I’ve had one in 7 years that’s ended up in the garbage.
