Cardmaking is all about cutting up paper and gluing it back together! The card below using the Taco Fiesta stamp set is a perfect example. Cut up different colors of cardstock, add a little stamping, glue them together and a card is born! This one is perfect for a new friend who is celebrating her birthday on Cinco de Mayo!

Cinco de Mayo birthday card using Taco Fiesta stamp set by Stampin' Up!For the bottom three rectangles I used a tone-on-tone stamping technique which means you stamp with an ink that is the same shade as the cardstock you are stamping on. On the top rectangle I used Tuxedo Black Memento ink because I wanted more of a contrast. The bottom blue rectangle is one of our new colors – Azure Afternoon. It reminds me of deep blue seas and pool parties. It will be perfect for summer cards.

You can see all the supplies used to make this card by clicking here. Are you new to cardmaking?  Next week I’ll feature this stamp set using another technique – SIP (Stamps-Ink-Paper). It’s just the thing for someone wanting to try cardmaking but not sure where to begin.
